t has been recently noticed that the Poincaré invariant vacua of general relativity are not unique due to the presence of supertranslations at null infinity. I will propose a classical construction of these vacua based on the representation of the BMS group in the bulk spacetime. The construction is constrained by one fundamental requirement: the conservation of superrotation charges, which are generalizations of the Lorentz charges. I will then discuss the construction of the Schwarzschild black hole embedded in a non-trivial vacua, i.e. the Schwarzschild black hole with BMS hair.
