In the seminal work of Pestun the partition function of N=2 SYM theories on S4, also in
presence of a BPS Wilson loop, has been expressed as a matrix model by localizing the
path integral. It has subsequently been argued that, in the conformal case, the sphere
partition function encodes also information on the R4 chiral-antichiral correlators. I report
on some work in which we consider one-point functions of chiral operators in the presence
of a BPS Wilson loop, checking the matrix model predictions against explicit Feynman
diagram computations. We also start considering the more difficult case of non-conformal
theories, obtaining some interesting indications that also in this case the matrix model
encodes non-trivial information on the R4 correlators.
