The ASC congratulates Lode Pollet (ASC member) and Olaf Hohm (former researcher at the ASC) for their ERC Consolidator Grants! Lode Pollet's project „Quantum Simulation of Strongly-Correlated Systems” will develop new methods to simulate the behavior of ultracold atoms while Olaf Hohm’s project „Duality Symmetries, Higher Derivatives, and their Applications in Cosmology” will apply string theory to the early Universe. Consolidator Grants run over 5 years and include a prize money of up to 2 million Euros. They support excellent scientists in order to consolidate their innovative research. more
