Introduction to AdS/CFT
There will be a block course "Introduction to AdS/CFT" at the ASC in the period October 1-5, 2018, given by Dr. Daniel Fernandez (University of Iceland, Reykjavik).
Time: 10.00-12am and 2-4pm (October 1, 2, 4 and 5)

Requirements: Bascis in GR and QFT, no pre-knowledge in string theory necessary

2. Review of String Theory
3. Original Formulation of AdS/CFT
4. Tests of the Duality and modern motivations
5. Mathematical tools and details
6. Generalizations of the Duality
7. Applications to the study of the quark gluon plasma
8. Applications to the study of condensed matter physics
